Mind Matters

Today's my day off ... I thought that meant I didn't really have to think. LOL! Joshua has other ideas! On the way to drop his brother off at day camp Josh didn't stop talking. My head hurts!!

"Mom, call Grandpa Dan."

"He might be sleeping, Josh. He'll call me later today when he's ready for you to come over."

"He CAN'T be sleeping, Mom. Look at all the cars on the road."

"Different people sleep at different times. Some people sleep during the day, some at night."

"Well, EVERYONE should go to bed at night!"

BRIEF pause ...

"Did everyone go to bed last night?"

"No."

"Well, they should. Bats sleep in the day and are awake at night. Did you know that? That's because they're bats though. Bats are black. They are camaflouged at night. Can we call Grandpa Dan, PLEASE? He HAS TO be awake! What's that?

"What is what?"

"That noise."

"That is the sound the tires make when they hit the grooves cut out on the edge of the road. They make that sound to remind you that you're near the edge."

"Do they stop you?"

"No. They just remind you to pay attention."

"Why don't they stop you? ....

OY!!!! I need a tape recorder to recall EVERYTHING this child says. It's kinda funny, but TIRING!

Last night he went on a tirate about how if a burglar breaks in THEY are paying to fix the window, not us!! I was LMAO at him. Again, wishing I was taping it!!
