And Then There Was School

Joshua's first day of kindergarten went well. He woke up in a great mood, ate breakfast, got dressed, and brushed his teeth with no problems! He proudly marched into the school, put his lunch in his locker, and headed to his room. He quickly found his name and unpacked his supplies. He was eager to start school! I snapped some pictures and he hammed it up LOL! He even KISSED ME when I left ;o)

That night when he got home he was beaming. My mom had this to say about her conversation with Joshua: When I talked to him tonight he was excited about telling me all the things he did the first day of school. Then he very excitedly said "Guess What?" I of course responded in the same excited voice "What"? Then, as only Josh would do, he told me there was only two more days of school and he gets THREE days off. Should be a long year for him if this is the reaction after the first day. All I could say was "That's cool." And laugh when I got off the phone.

So the most memorable part of his day was that he didn't have to go for a few days LOL!

The second morning getting ready for school wasn't as pretty. Joshua didn't like his gym clothes, the shirt was too baggy and it was the wrong color, besides the fact that he now hated his new tennis shoes. I shouted a few "Get dressed anyways!!!!!!!" comments in his direction while I was showering. Although he was curled up in a ball on the couch, GROWLING at anyone that came near, he was dressed when I got out of the shower. Jeff and I basically ignored him, and before he left for school he had decided he liked how baggy his shirt was. LOL!!

This is going to be such a fun year!
